Carbon lunch in Bungendore
Join TFS on the 27th June in Bungendore as we sit down for lunch with members and guests and cover the basics of Carbon Farming. We know carbon farming is a complicated and daunting space, so come join us for some lunch (included) where we’ll have an open discussion on the basics of carbon farming and answer all your questions. You’ll hear from some local farmers who have gone down the carbon farming route and our presenter, Lachy Ingram will also cover:
- Market drivers and why carbon matters
- Carbon jargon and definitions
- How farmers can prepare now and the benefits to their business
You’ll leave this workshop with a greater understanding on the basics of carbon farming and how you can prepare and benefit from it. This workshop will be followed by a carbon accounting workshop in July, where you’ll then be able to measure your carbon footprint and better understand how to reduce your emissions.
These workshops (5 in the series) will:
- Support farmers to make informed decisions to lower emissions.
- Boost knowledge of emissions management in farming.
- Equip advisers with skills and resources for ongoing support.
Delivered with funding support from the Commonwealth of Australia through the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water under the Carbon Farming Outreach Program in collaboration with the Grower Group Alliance.
